The Penguin Tetra is a long thin fish that is named because of the vertical black line that runs down its side, all the way to the end of its tail. It is usually a pale or golden color. When it swims it will keep its head tilted toward the top of the aquarium. Males and females are difficult to distinguish since they look very much the same.
