Description: Corydoras arcuatus is more sensitive to water conditions than other similarly sized cories. This species tends to be quite sensitive to nitrates, and is prone to barbel erosion brought on by high nitrate levels. Good water quality and filtration are very helpful if you want to successfully keep this fish, and regular water changes and gravel vacuumings are a must. These appreciate a few hiding places like all cories, but also need some open swimming space. They should be kept in shoals of at least 3-5 fish.
