Ceylon Puffer Diet & Nutrition: Carnivorous - needs shelled foods one day per week at the bare minimum. Snails, frozen krill and shell-on shrimp are all excellent.

Ceylon Puffer Description: True ceylon puffers are fairly rare in the aquarium industry. Sometimes, fish called "ceylon puffers" are sold at aquarium stores, but these are often variants the green spotted puffer. A ceylon puffer should have very large dark spots on the back along the spine tapering to smaller dots toward the belly region. While ceylon puffers do have a greenish hue, they also have much more of a brown or gold tint than the green spotted puffer.

Tank Mate Compatibility: Best for a species only tank.

Ceylon Puffer Breeding & Spawning: Hard to accomplish and appears to be entirely independant of the caretaker of the tank. They breed, or don't, for no apparant reason.
